| Esther | Please! do not band Avril Lavigne from performing in Malaysia on the 29th August 2008! Many of us Malaysians, are more than honoured to go enjoy the concert, but was very unhappy, when we were told that the concert, as mentioned above, was cancelled. So please, for the happiness of the citizens of Malaysia, please do not cancel the concert of Avril Lavigne's 'The Best Damn Tour'. I am sure that with the concert going on, the whole nation would me more joyful than every other year, when celebrating Malaysia's independence day. Many of us has waited for years for this wounderful oppurtunity. I hope that you would kindly, allow Avril Lavigne, to perform in the Merdeka Stadium on August 29th 2008. | 22-Aug-2008 | ||
| Chong Jie Hui | Bentong, Pahang | Basically, I don't think western artists equal to bad influence. Avril for example, is showing us we should be our true selves and live on with pride. Furthermore, please do believe in us youth, as we are born to think and choose what is right. The concert will not affect anything, including our spirit for the National Day. We can differentiate well between the concert and our Indepenence Day celebration. I want to be proud of Malaysia all the time, so please Sir, do consider our suggestion of not cancelling Avril Lavigne's long-waited concert in Malaysia. Thank you. | 22-Aug-2008 | |
| Tan Kae Yunn | Bkt. Mertjama, Pulau Pinang | Avril is a good performancer and artist too. Please let the show goes on. | 22-Aug-2008 | |
| Geh Chee Wen | Butterworth, Pulau Pinang. | The concert must go on to show our country is a democratic n ready to absorb everything which is good from others. Malaysia is not an narrowminded country. | 22-Aug-2008 | |
| katie | Cyberjaya | Please sir... This means a lot to us. If National Day is the reason it's not acceptable because we already got our independence and that means nothing can affect that. And the concert wont take a day. Only a few hours. And she's NOT SEXY at all. You wanna talk about sexy? Malaysian women are sexier. Trust me. So pleaaaaaase be reasonable sir. Thanks. | 23-Aug-2008 | |

| Nurul Hidayah Hanani | Johor Bahru | It is unfair for the government to ban the concert using Independance Day as an excuse. We are all aware that Merdeka is just around the corner and going to the concert doesn't make us any less patriotic. But if it is then, how come the concerts for merdeka celebration is patriotic to any of us? isn't it all the same? it is insulting for us for the government to think that we cannot decide for ourselves for what's good and what's right. what's the point of merdeka celebration if we are not "merdeka" to make decisions ourselves? plus, your reason about Avril being "too sexy"... come on, even my aunt who's ages 40+ knows that Avril can be nowhere near as "sexy" as my bottle of coca cola. You want artists that can bring good example to us; Avril Lavigne is a good example. She doesn't wear revealing clothes, so far she has no major scandals and she's happily married even at a young age which shows that she's responsible. Please do consider this matter wisely. | 22-Aug-2008 | |
| AngelQueen | Johor Bahru | Please SIR.Please allow Avril Lavigne come perform her concert.Thanks | 23-Aug-2008 | |
| H.O | K.L | please be more mature next time | 23-Aug-2008 | |
| See Heng Chun | KL | hope sir can seriously consider our opinion | 22-Aug-2008 | |
| Liou Will Son | KL | Sir, what i want to say is Avril Lavigne was a good example for youth just like what you can see that she has been involved in a number of charities such as Make Some Noise and War Child etc. Secondly, we are mature enough to differentiate between the rights and wrongs. Consequently, i will hope sir to make a brilliant decision for the fans and authorities out there. Thank you. | 22-Aug-2008 | |
| Ng Ser Seong | KL | Hopefully there is no Discrimination in this country about the western culture, no matter in the point of view of music or the culture. Please consider the suggestion submitted. | 22-Aug-2008 | |
| Adrian | KL | Come on , people out there already laughing at our country (Malaysia) , i don't see any sense that the reason given out by the PAS , i do respect them . If ‘ avril lavigne’ is consider too sexy , I think Malaysia government should ban the MTV channel too , they are way too sexy if compare to ‘avril’ , I hope Malaysia government will reconsider it , Malaysia is a mutil-racial country , not only muslim , there have others , please respect us too, thx … | 22-Aug-2008 | |
| Louis Khoo | KL | Plz do not related avril wif ur politic showoff @ Malaysia is a freedom country. plz don postpone or cancel our concert. thanks! | 22-Aug-2008 | |
| Marianne | KL | Please let avril come. She doesn't wear sexy skimpy clothing! Nor does she bring negative influence to teenagers and Malaysians. There is a debate that the Patriotism amongst Malaysians will decade if AVRIL does perform. I just want to tell you that IT WILL NOT HAPPEN! we are proud of our Merdeka Celebrations! it is a huge thing for all Malaysians. The concert is where fans like me get to meet our IDOLS. so, please consider this petition and allow Avril to perform in Malaysia. | 22-Aug-2008 | |
